Carter Foot Lab is a family-owned foot health destination serving the Upstate. We combine pedorthic-informed foot health assessments and professional fitting protocols to help families enjoy comfort in everyday activities. At The Lab, you'll discover a wide range of specialty footwear options, custom orthoses and OTC insoles, compression and recovery legwear and more. In fact, we offer custom solutions and skilled footwear care with our in-house shoe repair and modification lab.

Carter Foot Lab grew from a third-generation family tradition of entrepreneurship in shoe repair and restoration. That foundation taught us to look closely, listen carefully and respect the details that determine whether something truly works.

With formal training in pedorthics and a continued commitment to professional development, Kevin leads the business with practical expertise, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of fit, function, and long-term wear.

With 40+ years of extensive knowledge of orthotic design, materials, and industry standards, Micah supports Carter Foot Lab as a consultant focused on quality systems, staff development, and operational excellence.
His guidance further strengthens our ability to deliver well-informed solutions in comfort footwear and orthotic care.

Sadie Carter, Pediatric Ambassador, may have little feet, but inspires a big part of Carter Foot Lab. Because Sadie wears an SMO, we understand how important supportive shoes and healthy movement can be for growing feet.

We serve men, women and children who need more than a box on the shelf, and want clear guidance about what fits, what supports and what makes sense for their lives.
Your mobility and support needs come first. We assess before we recommend, explain your options clearly and recommend only solutions that serve a meaningful purpose, with transparent, fair pricing.

We value clear communication, ethical boundaries and continuity of care. Carter Foot Lab is not a medical practice; we do not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment. When a concern requires diagnosis, treatment or care beyond our scope, we direct the customer to the appropriate healthcare professional.
